you are that space that's in between every page, every chord and every screen, you are the driftwood and the rift, you're the words that I promise I don't mean.

Physical Media Rocks!

I've been cutting as far down on streaming services for music as I can. Eventually they'll all be phased out, but I'm taking some time to properly adjust and get my hands on physical copies of everything I know and love, or at least on digital files that can't just be taken at the whim of some flippant CEO. I thought about having something like I've seen on other sites where people show off their CD collection, but this has been a passion for years now, and my collection just could not be condensed to a single aesthetic pinterest post or even a web page. I have more CDs than some of my local music shops. I have 3 full racks and another one filling up in my room, a full travel book, and my entire center console of my truck filled plus one of those CD visor things. I burn them in multiples at a time and never walk out of a thrift store or local shop with only one. It's honestly getting to be near a problem lol.

Tangent aside, when you see me talk about an album I've been playing recently, you can safely assume I have some form of CD for it. I like to grab CDs for bands I've heard of but never listened to if they're only a dollar or less, or the same for albums that just look kind of cool. Otherwise, I either burn my own or get a copy off of eBay if it's one that I really want the paper insert/jewel case from for whatever reason. I'm also big on the public library, and I usually check out 10-15 CDs at a time and rip them at home if I like them. If you're reading this and have been on the fence of physical media and needed a sign to jump in, this is it! And if you ever want help/tips/trick/recs, I'm always here to help.

you're just another set of bones to lay to rest
